A community organizer by training, Jennifer (Jenny) Cohen has worked in the third sector in Israel and the United States for over thirty years. Her particular interests include participatory program evaluation as a tool for advancing public policy and her PhD dissertation research explores how high-impact non-profit organizations affect social change. Jenny trains practitioners and academics in the use of measurement, monitoring, learning and evaluation as a management tool within organizations, and as an outside "capacity-building consultant" for direct service providers, activists, academics, and foundation professionals. Jenny has taught applied program evaluation as it relates to human resources, global development, and corporate social responsibility at universities in Israel and the United States. Most recently, Jenny has served as Director of Organizational Learning and Evaluation at Sikkuy and the New Israel Fund.
